"Epic 2015"

World change from time to time, due to fast growing of demands of people to increase the productivity around the world. In the video "Epic 2015" was based on how Internet change will occur from time to time. This video was made in 2007 and in video they assume what was going to happen from 2007 to 2015 in terms of technology particularly the things had to do with the Internet. As that we are now in 2015, some things shown in the video were accurate, but few things were not accurate.

The things, which were accurate:(reality)

·      In 1989 Tim B Lee created the WWWeb was born

·      1998 Google came along

·      2002 Friendster was created

·      2003 Google purchase the blogger which was created in 1999

The things, which were not accurate: (predictions)

·      Googlezon - The merging of Google and Amazon never happened.

·      Google Grid - The "grid" never happened, but Google does allow quite a bit of file storage for free, for it users.

·      MSN buying the Newsbotster

·      New York Times bails on internet subscriptions and prints mainly focus for the elite and elderly

“Epic 2015” really showed that many companies failed in history. Some big companies were growing rapidly during the earlier days but after sometime as the time goes by they went sloping downward.

When we were talking about html in class, it was very interesting topic. As for the first time I discovered that html is used as a standard markup language to create web pages. When we got the blog assignment, I was bit nervous because I never did html page before. But with the help of written instruction document “How to Create a Simple Web Page With HTML" it made the writing process for my html page very simple, but only problem I countered was that I didn’t have any notepad installed on my MacBook, so in order to write a html I has to download the text-edit by apple I followed all the steps shown on the document and did trial/error method, in which I got to forget, put closing tag, which caused my webpage with error. I decided to make a page on new Dodge Hellcat car, with a white background and in the title I put “Fast and Furious Hellcat”. Overall it was a good and unique experience for me to create my very own webpage.

Similarities and differences between E-mail And Postal Mail.

In this world people need commutation in order to connect or send their message across to other person. Communication could be done by verbal, written, visual etc. Both the postal mail and electronic mail (email) are a form of communication, which people use. Postal mails are used from centuries ago and are still being used as a vast communication method. But email is around just a few decades ago and is vastly getting bigger form of communication. Both the postal mail and email have many similarities and differences.

Lets talk about the similarities first between the email and postal mail. Both the email and postal mail have a have destinations they have to get to. Both can be used to send documents, information, photos, and greeting cards.  Both get the junk mail- advertisements or different promotions from the companies. Both can be used to either send money or receive money ex: cash or check in postal mail and electronic transfer or withdraw of your bank from your email to do online shopping). Both have similar traveling process in which the mail is delivered to its destination, in which case postal mail will go through from one post office to another post office, and email go through one server to another server to get to the receiver. Also both are delivered to a location for each participant address inside their inboxes or mailboxes. But there are also differences between postal mail and email.

When we start talking about differences first thing that pop up in mind was the time. Postal services can take days in order to reach it receiver, whereas email only takes few seconds. Another difference is that email only work with Internet and if the person is out of email then there is no way the person can view email, whereas postal mail is delivered to your house without the use of Internet. Also in order to send the postal mail a sender needs to buy the postal stamp, which cost some money, whereas email doesn’t cost anything. Postal mail can be used to ship objects (toys, household items etc.) but email can only send either written or verbal but not the actual objects. Also the when sending the email if any error occurs to recipient name or address then it will go to wrong person or won’t go to any person, whereas in postal mail is less worry on the name or address of the recipient and still can be received by the right person.

Even thou there are similarities and differences, both email and postal mail are still a huge part of our day to day communication. As the postal mail is running from long time, email has also managed to be part of everyone and will be there in future as well, just like a postal mail.
