Doing the scavenger hunt exercise was a great
and fun learning experience. My team members and me had to find the answers to
the questions that our professor gave us. We had to use the Internet to find
the information but it needs some searching and digging. Some information
popped up right away on basic Internet search but some question needed a lot of
searching. My group and me decided to split the questions so we can finish
early and before turning in the answers to question we will discuss them first.
I got the first 6 question and all of them were easy. Also the first three
questions popped up all under one page, which was created by previous class,
due to fact that they mentioned our professor name under their blog. Before
turning in my group had a discussion on one question, middle sister's married
name and in order to do that we looked into our professor Facebook, things
professor posted anything related to sisters and in the end I think we
answered, Nancy but we heard she is the youngest sister.
It was very interesting exercise and we
discovered how most of the information about the individual is available online
and can me accessed within milliseconds. This exercise showed that how we give
up our personal information with not even notice it. Also by collaborate with
other fellow students as a group I learned how others use different searches
methods on Internet to find answers. We turned in our paper the second in the
class and it turned out that my group won $5 Starbucks gift card, which was surprising.
